    When you want to stay in shape by exercising at home, push ups can be a great option. Besides being able to be done without tools, push ups also have many variations and are good for your health.

    However, most people rarely receive training on how to do push ups, so they do push ups on their own according to what they know. Push ups are one of those exercises that are considered so simple that they don't need to be taught. So it is assumed that everyone can do push ups.

    Although push-ups have become a common exercise, even for physical education classes in elementary schools, most people, or even athletes, perform poorly at this type of exercise.

    To help improve your push up skills, here are instructions on how to improve your push up skills as quoted from stack.com.

    The last way to improve your push-up ability is by changing the tempo of the movement. Changing the tempo of push ups can be an effective way to increase the load. Both slowing down the movement and adding pauses will increase the time under tension, thus making movement more difficult.

    The two obvious, and perhaps the most effective, ways are to increase the time to do the dropping section and add a pause at the bottom. The lowering portion of the push-ups is the easiest part of the movement.

    Increasing the amount of time spent losing weight increases the difficulty of exercising. The strength you get from these modified exercises over the course of a few weeks will increase your entire push up movement within a normal tempo. This can be done as part of a full push-up or separately by simply lowering the part of the movement and then resetting it to the starting position on top.

    Adding a pause at the bottom will fix the push up part that many people struggle with. Focusing on this position will encourage a faster increase than simply training with push-ups at a normal tempo.
